Frequently asked questions | End of OPUS en ligne service

Technologies are rapidly evolving, and keeping the OPUS en ligne website operational in order to reload transit fares online would require major investments, in particular to ensure ongoing upgrades to the code.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation. Rest assured that we are making every effort to offer new, practical solutions that will make it easier for you to load transit fares onto your OPUS card as soon as possible.

We’re working on implementing a technological solution that will make it possible for users to load transit fares onto their OPUS card with their NFC-enabled smartphone.

This solution will be available to customers in 2024. It’s still possible to load transit fares onto an OPUS card at a point of sale or to purchase transit fares by using the RTC Nomade paiement app.

You can purchase transit fares at several points of sale. You can also use the RTC Nomade paiement app, which allows you to purchase transit fares anywhere, anytime.

It’s also possible to subscribe to the L’abonne BUS program, which offers great fares and is easy to use. With L’abonne BUS, your monthly pass is renewed automatically every month, so that you don’t have to go to a point of sale. Payments are withdrawn automatically. Note that you have to be subscribed for at least three consecutive months. Visit the RTC website for more information.

Until the OPUS en ligne website closes, you can continue using your card reader to check the contents of your OPUS card. After that, you will be able to check the contents of your OPUS card by going to an information centre, service outlet or point of sale.

You can also find out the number of fares left on your OPUS card by using the bus’s card reader. Place your card on the card reader for a few seconds and the number of fares left will be displayed.
